Late April brought mild spring breezes to Shanghai, yet nothing could dampen the enthusiasm of global rubber and plastic professionals. From April 21 to 24, 2026, Chinaplas grandly kicked off at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). As one of the most influential rubber and plastic events across Asia-Pacific and the globe, it serves not only as a showcase for new materials and cutting-edge technologies but also as an annual platform for industry networking, resource docking and win-win cooperation along the entire plastics supply chain.

Led by Director Miao, the team from Suzhou Fengying Plastic headed straight to Shanghai for this important business trip. Unlike most exhibitors who simply wait for customers at their booths, we adopted a proactive strategy. We took our samples to visit long-term partners, held in-depth business and technical discussions, connected with high-quality new clients amid industry elites, and built solid foundations for stable long-term cooperation.

Beyond Booth Greetings: Face-to-Face Talks Bring Real Value

On the opening day, the exhibition center was packed with visitors, with the iconic Chinaplas logo shining brightly in the sunlight. Instead of rushing into crowded halls blindly, we made a detailed visiting schedule in advance. Director Miao always emphasizes that collecting business cards is never enough; sincere face-to-face communication is the best way to build trust. Attending the fair means taking initiative to explore markets, approach clients and gather industry resources.

We held in-depth talks with Aspel Group, a Mexico-based automotive injection molding manufacturer. We recorded their customized requirements for specialized PP and POM grades. The client shared that although general plastic pellets are widely available on the market, they often fail to meet strict automotive factory standards in dimensional stability and long-term fatigue resistance. This reinforces our belief that the era of simply selling raw materials is gone. Future competition lies in delivering professional custom modified plastic solutions.

Two-Way Industrial Chain Layout: Sourcing Premium Materials, Expanding Downstream Sales

After learning the real material demands of downstream injection molders, we toured exhibition halls to explore upstream and downstream resources. Chinaplas gathers the world's top chemical giants and new material innovators. We focused on two key goals: discovering innovative high-performance engineering plastics and selecting cost-effective alternative materials to offer clients diversified sourcing options.

We exchanged insights with many leading brands, focusing on the application and technical challenges of PA66 in new energy vehicle battery peripheral parts. Director Miao personally tested material rigidity and toughness, and shared professional views with technical directors from participating enterprises. Technical exchanges like these build far stronger trust than simple price inquiries.

Business talks were not always overly formal. During a visit to a masterbatch supplier specializing in color and functional masterbatches, we tested their newly developed low-odor eco-friendly products. We chatted over coffee in the lounge about increasingly strict industry requirements for environmental performance, low odor and weather resistance. The relaxed atmosphere quickly facilitated preliminary cooperation intentions. We clearly see that competition in the plastics supply chain is no longer just about price. Professional technical support, customized development, fast delivery and comprehensive after-sales service are the core pillars for long-term business growth.

Empowering Mid-Size Manufacturers: Exploring New Growth Amid Fierce Competition

The biggest value of the exhibition lies in developing targeted new customers.

Carrying customized company bags, we wandered through pavilions, focusing on promising mid-sized injection molding factories, mold makers and smart home product enterprises.

In a quiet corner of the exhibition, we met a startup team developing smart home housings. The founder was pragmatic and highly demanding in material lightweighting, flame retardancy and molding yield. We recommended our agency PC/ABS alloy grades, elaborating on their advantages in fluidity, easy demolding, impact resistance and aging resistance. Our professionalism was fully recognized, and we agreed to conduct on-site sample testing and mold trials after the show to advance deeper cooperation.

Active on-site visiting is tiring, and we occasionally faced rejections. Still, every potential new client brings great encouragement to our team. Each successful connection expands our business reach and strengthens our brand influence.

During the exhibition, Director Miao also focused on upstream industrial chain layout, paying close attention to plastic machinery. We visited the plastic machinery zone and inspected leading manufacturers of all-electric injection molding machines and high-precision extrusion lines. Besides watching live equipment demonstrations, we had in-depth discussions with technical directors, comparing equipment performance, energy consumption and application scenarios to prepare for future factory upgrading, equipment introduction and capacity expansion.

We focused on how equipment upgrades can reduce energy consumption and defective rates in modified plastic production. Director Miao asked detailed questions about screw plasticizing performance and temperature control when processing high-viscosity engineering plastics such as POM and PA66, as well as real-time data collection via IoT systems. He firmly believes premium stable equipment is the cornerstone of supplying high-quality plastic pellets. Through on-site investigations, we locked in several reliable machinery partners and accumulated valuable first-hand data for intelligent production upgrading and quality improvement.

The Exhibition Ends, While Partnerships Keep Moving Forward

The four-day grand event came to a close quickly. Taking group photos in front of the landmark four-leaf clover building, every team member was full of gains and expectations.

We returned with far more than business cards, but dozens of high-value pending cooperation projects. From bulk trading of general plastics like PP and PE, to customized application of high-end engineering plastics including POM, PA, PC and PC/ABS, we are more determined than ever: rooted in the manufacturing industry, deeply engaged in the rubber and plastic industrial chain, and growing together with upstream and downstream partners.

Chinaplas 2026 has concluded, yet our market development and customer service never stop. We will turn every business contact into real orders, and transform exhibition insights into product and service upgrades. We keep moving forward steadily on the road of industry development.
